We Are Going to Old Trafford

I honestly had not intended on making a new post for several days, but I figured I would share the good news with everyone!

For those who do not know, there are two Codes of Rugby, Rugby League and Rugby Union. The Rugby Union follows a more traditional European sport calendar and runs from fall to spring, where as Rugby League runs from the late winter into the early fall. One type of game, but two completely different sports, with different ways of scoring, different ways of playing it (to a certain degree), but all in all, they are both fun sports to watch and I have been hooked on them for the last 5-6 years. I don't necessarily have a team that I follow, but I do love to watch good Rugby.

So for Rugby League in England, they have what is called Super League, basically the Rugby League equivalent of the NFL. 12 teams play for a chance to play in the Grand Final that takes place in October of each year at Old Trafford (where Manchester United play). The whole idea of this trip began with me wanting to head to England for this game, but the tickets never seemed to populate for me. However, I got the email yesterday that they were back on sale and I was able to get the tickets today! So I will get to head to the Grand Final after all.

I know that I am barely scratching the surface of what this trip is going to be about what all I am going to do, and I look forward to sharing with all of you what all I will be doing, but patience is very much going to be a virtue over the next couple months. Sorry this one is shorter today, but I covered the big news!

Until next time,

Tc
